Classical Riding Tour Setting

Tour Setting

If you are travelling so far to receive the best riding tuition, I think it’s a bonus to also experience all that Portugal has to offer. Often riding holidays are located far away from the best cultural experiences, and I wanted the riding tour to be vibrant and to give a taste of the food, wine and history that makes Portugal special.

Cascais became my home in 2010 and is one of the most beautiful and sought after places in the world. Located on the Western most point of Europe, and surrounded by beautiful coastline, Cascais is a geographically blessed locale, with some of the best views, landmarks and restaurants in the country.

This is also the chosen base for the tour, not only as it is close to all our amazing classical trainers, but it is just 30 minutes from Portugal’s capital city of Lisbon, one of the most enchanting and colourful cities in Europe, full of tradition, art, and culture, allowing guests to arrive at lisbon airport and get straight into the tour experience.

With the historical town of Sintra also just a short drive away, guests are surrounded by some of Portugal’s most beautiful towns and cities on all sides.

Sintra is a longtime royal sanctuary located at the foothills of the Sintra mountains. Home to the Moorish- and Manueline-style National Palace and the hilltop 19th-century Pena National Palace, Sintra is also part of what makes our tour special.

Throughout the ten day stay the tour family are always available to give the best advice and recommendations on where to eat and what to do in your spare time, and with all this right at your doorstep, when you aren’t riding you will certainly have lots to keep you entertained!
